I disagree. I took Calc I&II over four years ago...having a strong background is crucial to getting through the exam. Just two days before the exam and I'm STILL struggling with integration-by-parts. Then there are the differential equations! In the past I've done rather well during crunch time, but I sure wish my calc knowledge was up to par. Good luck.
